“Mommy!? What’s that scent coming from the basement?"​

The scent was creme brulee, but it was coming from an idea -- not my kitchen.  In 2008, that idea sparked a dream to start a hand poured candle business. ​

The past year presented challenges for me and my family, like so many others during this pandemic. After being laid off due to COVID, I went to work back in my basement. It was there that I realized this is the perfect opportunity to embrace my entrepreneurial passion.. As I started pouring candles I brainstormed a fresh brand for my fresh start. That’s how “Waxy Tin Candle Company” came to life. I designed the site, logo, and created a visual appeal for the brand. ​

 Scent in a home is so important, triggering our senses and bringing feelings of comfort, joy, and memories of simpler times.  My goal is that each candle and wax melt produced will be a true reflection of my with my art, family, and spirit. Waxy Tin is designed to spread the glow of happiness from home to home.
